The Geolocation feature automatically switches your website's language and currency based on the user’s location or browser language settings. Follow the steps below to test this feature.
Before testing, make sure that you have enabled our Switcher and activated the Geolocation feature. Without publishing the switcher, Geolocation will not work.
1. Switch Store Language/Currency Based on User’s Location
If you have enabled Auto Language Switch based on Visitors' Location or Auto Switch Currency, Langwill uses the IP address to detect the user’s location and adjust the language or currency accordingly.
Step 1: Use a VPN to Simulate a Different Country's Network
To test how the site reacts to different locations, use a VPN to switch to the network of the target country. You can check your IP address using this website: [WhatIsMyIPAddress](https://whatismyipaddress.com/).
Step 2: Clear Your Browser Cache
Browsers often remember your previous session's language settings. To ensure the website uses your new IP address for geolocation, clear the cache. Here’s how:
- Open your browser’s Developer Tools (Inspect Element).
- Go to the **Application** tab.
- Find **Local Storage** and clear the cache.
Step 3: Refresh the Website
Once the cache is cleared, refresh the site, and it should automatically switch to the appropriate language and currency based on your new IP address.

2. Switch Store Language Based on Browser Language
Step 1: Change Your Browser’s Preferred Language
Adjust the preferred language setting in your browser to test the language-switching functionality.

Step 2: Clear Your Browser Cache
Like the geolocation method, if you do not clear your cache, the website may remember the previous language. Use the same steps as before to clear your cache:
- Open **Inspect Element**.
- Go to the **Application** tab.
- Clear **Local Storage**.
Step 3: Refresh the Website
Once the cache is cleared, refresh the site, and it should automatically switch to the language you set in your browser.
By following these steps, you can accurately test the Geolocation feature to ensure it works as expected for your website’s visitors.
