Overview
Some users experience a sync error when attempting to assign Portuguese to their market in Shopify using Langwill.
This issue occurs because you has add two versions of Portuguese,Portuguese (Brazil) and Portuguese (Portugal), but Shopify does not allow a market to have multiple regional versions of the Portuguese. Each market can only have one version of Portuguese. Therefore, you needs to assign the correct Portuguese version to the corresponding market individually.
This guide will walk you through the correct steps to assign Portuguese to your market, ensuring it appears in the language switcher and resolving the sync error.
Steps to Fix the Issue:
Step 1: Go to Shopify Admin > Markets.
Step 2: Select the market where you want to publish correct version of Portuguese(e.g.Portuguese (Brazil)) , then click Languages and Domains.
Step 3: Remove the another version of Portuguese (e.g.Portuguese (Portugal)).
Step 4: Then, click Add Language, then select correct version of Portuguese(e.g.Portuguese (Brazil)).

By following these steps, you should be able to properly assign Portuguese to your market and resolve the sync error in Langwill.
