Geolocation can significantly improve the conversion rate of your online store by creating a personalized and convenient shopping experience for your customers. This feature enables automatic redirection of language and currency based on the customer's location.
How the "Auto Switch Language" Feature Works
- Currency: The currency will be automatically redirected based on the customer’s IP address.
- Language: The language can be redirected based on either the customer's browser language or their IP address, depending on your selected settings.
How to Set Up Geolocation Redirection
- Go to Switcher.
- Scroll down to the Geolocation section.
- You can choose to redirect the language based on the customer’s IP address or browser language.
- For currency, check the option to redirect based on the customer’s IP address.
Important Notes:
- This feature requires the Switcher to be published in order to function properly.
- Geolocation will affect customers on their first visit. If customers switch to another language or currency using the switcher, they will be redirected to their selected language or currency on subsequent visits.
